Our Ministries

At St. Timothy's we are dedicated to serving our community in multiple ways. We have a Soup Kitchen, a covid testing / vaccination clinic, and a community garden. Learn more about each of our ministries below!

Our Soup Kitchen & Outreach Clinic

What are we up to? Just good.

Food and affordable housing scarcity has been ever-growing in our community. Scarcity and inflation of these core necessities have community members in more need than ever before seen. St. Timothy’s Soup Kitchen currently serves 210+ hot meals every week. Friday and Saturday noon-1pm, Sunday at 4pm, and Monday at 11am hosted by Smith River United Methodist.

What we offer:
  • Hot Meals four days a week
  • Showers during our office hours
  • Laundry vouchers
  • Mailing addresses for folks without addresses to send and receive mail
  • COVID-19 Vaccinations on Saturdays from 12 - 3pm at the Rush Building, 648 Chetco Ave

We appreciate and are continuously amazed by the ongoing support from individuals, families, and organizations around the globe. Thank you to all who have received our mission with absolute grace. Please continue to send prayers for success in our ministry and service to all of God’s precious children.

Growing Good News in our Garden!

Our very first raised bed will be approximately 12×4 and be built on the terrace directly below the Greenhouse.  The Altar Guild has provided a newly retired altar cloth which will be buried beneath the brand-new soil. The tradition in the Episcopal Church with any special linens or fabric cloths that are no longer in use it is to either burn them or bury them. What a perfect place to lay a beloved retired altar covering than beneath a lovely community garden bed!

Our Garden is part of the larger Episcopal Church's Good News Garden initiative.

Our Hope and Intentions Are To:
  • Engage and Build Community
  • Provide Fun Group Activities
  • Inspire Garden Art Activities
  • Grow Vegetables and Flowers
  • Provide Fellowship Activities For Everyone
Raised Garden Beds Are For:
  • St. Timothy’s Congregation & Friends
  • Community Kitchens and Brookings Food Bank
  • Fir Street Neighborhood
